Blastocyst Transfer And IVF Treatment in Delhi

Blastocyst transfer is very common in IVF treatment. Embryos need to grow to later stages in culture. Media or culture fluid has been developed which contains everything they need for the later stages. Blastocysts are naturally to be found in the womb after in vivo conception. They travel down the Fallopian Tube dividing and reach the womb at a stage ready to implant. In IVF, day 3 embryos are transferred into the womb where they wait and grow until they are ready to implant. It is not possible to transfer them into the Fallopian Tube where they would naturally be at this stage.

In early embryos only 1 or 2 cells can be extracted without causing the embryo too much harm. But due to the larger number of cells of a Blastocyst (around 100), more cells can be used to check for abnormalities giving a more accurate result with less impact on the embryo. So if the intention is to use PGS, then a Blastocyst transfer may offer a better outcome.
